The ATIA Foundation offers two scholarship opportunities for Alaskan residents who are pursuing or working in the visitor industry: the Foundation Student Scholarship and the Professional Development Scholarship. Foundation Student Scholarship
Eligibility and purpose
- Available to Alaskan residents who are enrolled in—or plan to enroll in—an educational program that prepares them for a career in tourism.
- Awards, if made, will be paid directly to an accredited educational institution on behalf of the recipient.
Award use
- Scholarship funds are intended to support coursework and study toward a tourism-related career.

Professional Development Scholarship
Eligibility and purpose
- Open to Alaskan residents currently employed by a business in the travel or visitor industry.
- Designed to help working professionals expand or enhance their skills relevant to visitor-industry roles in Alaska.
Award use and limits
- Scholarships of up to $1,000 are available.
- Awards may be used for registration fees and materials for continuing education opportunities such as seminars, webinars, conferences, or comparable programs tied to employment in Alaska’s visitor industry.
