Introducing the Chugach Heritage Foundation Scholarship Program, a platform that provides financial assistance to students pursuing various levels of education, including Associate, Bachelor, Graduate/PhD degrees, vocational certificates, job training, and potential internship opportunities.

Vocational Scholarship

  • This scholarship caters to students enrolled in any recognized vocational, certificate, or license-based training program.
  • Under this scheme, students can avail up to $5,750 within a calendar year.
  • Application Deadlines are as follows: June 1st for June-September programs, and September 30th for October-December programs.

College Scholarship

  • This scholarship is designed for students pursuing an associate or bachelor degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Students can receive up to $5,750 per academic year at the Associate level, and up to $7,250 per academic year at the Bachelor level.
  • Application Deadlines for 2025 are: August 1st for Fall Term, December 27th for Winter/Spring Term, March 28th for Spring Quarter Term, and May 30th for Summer Term.

Graduate Scholarship

  • This competitive scholarship caters to students enrolled in an accredited graduate or Ph.D. program.
  • Students can avail up to $12,100 per academic year under this scheme.
  • Application Deadline for new Graduate submissions for the 2025-2026 academic year is August 8th.

Regional Focus Scholarship

  • This incentive-based scholarship is designed for students eligible for the CHF College or Vocational scholarships who intend to work within the Chugach Region and communities while pursuing education for a career in one of the focus areas designated for the academic year. The focus areas for 2024-2025 will be Medical programs, Maritime, & Education.
  • Students can receive up to $1,000 per academic year under this scheme. This award is in addition to the College or Vocational scholarships.

Barney Uhart Memorial Scholarship

  • This competitive scholarship is open to seniors at the undergraduate level or those enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Approved student(s) will participate in a paid summer internship (over two summers) and are eligible to receive up to $10,000 in additional CHF Scholarship funding.
  • The internship includes provisions for travel and lodging.
  • Application Deadline is December 31st.

Alyeska Alaska Native Scholarship

  • This scholarship is available to students with a keen interest in working within the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Services (TAPS)/oil & gas industry.
  • Applicants must meet all eligibility and documentation requirements and must have been approved for either the CHF College, Vocational, or Graduate Scholarship awards.
  • Funding for this scholarship is limited, and eligible applications will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Discretionary Scholarship

This scholarship program offers limited funding to support unique educational and cultural opportunities.
