Intro
The JRHMSF is an independent, tax-exempt organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its sole purpose is to award scholarships to children or other dependents of members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Contributions to the Fund are tax-deductible as charitable gifts to the extent allowed by law.
Eligibility
Academic Scholarship — who may apply
- Must be a current high school senior with plans to enroll full time in a four‑year undergraduate program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
- Must be the son, daughter, or financial dependent of a Teamster member in good standing (this includes members of BLET, BMWED, and TCRC).
- U.S. applicants should submit ACT or SAT scores when available; strong scores are expected.
- Applicants who intend to attend a military school are not eligible.
Training & Vocational Scholarship — who may apply
- Must intend to enroll in an accredited, non‑baccalaureate training or vocational program (for example, at a community college or other training institution) in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
- The chosen program must be related to work performed in a Teamster‑represented industry, class, or craft.
- Must be the son, daughter, or financial dependent of a Teamster member in good standing.
