Alaska Telecom Association — 2026 Scholarship Opportunities

The Alaska Telecom Association (ATA) is accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program. These awards support Alaska resident students who plan to enroll in accredited post-secondary institutions or training programs. Complete applications must be received by April 3, 2026. Details and requirements follow.
Who is eligible
- Applicants must be sponsored by an Active or Associate Member of the Alaska Telecom Association. Contact the member company directly to learn about any internal sponsorship rules; ATA will confirm sponsorship with the member as part of the review process.
- Applicants must have been Alaska residents for not less than four (4) years, or have attended school in Alaska for at least two (2) years.
- Applicants should demonstrate achievement in an academic or vocational area.
- Applicants must intend to attend an accredited post-secondary school or training program for a minimum of one year.
- Official transcripts are required and must be delivered either via secure email to showalter@alaskatel.org or by U.S. postal mail to ATA.
Application submission
Applications can be filed online or delivered by U.S. mail, courier, or in person. Paper applications are available upon request. All application materials must be submitted by April 3, 2026.
Review and award timeline
The Scholarship Committee will review applications during April and May. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the ATA Annual Meeting on May 20, 2026, in Valdez, Alaska. After the announcement, ATA will send award letters to recipients and confirm school enrollment details prior to issuing funds.
