Futurama Foundation Scholarships

The BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation, in partnership with the Maine Community Foundation, annually provides scholarships to women from Maine who demonstrate financial need. The Scholarship Period opens January 1st each year. This year each award is $3,000.
Eligibility and general conditions
- Awards are limited to women who are residents of Maine and demonstrate financial need.
- The Scholarship Period begins January 1st annually.
- Individual scholarship requirements (listed below) must be met in addition to the general criteria.
Available scholarships
1. The Lemieux-Lovejoy Youth Scholarship
- For a female high school senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university.
2. The Jeanne L. Hammond Memorial Scholarship
- Open to any woman in Maine who is a recent high school graduate or a working adult seeking to continue her education.
3. The Continuing Education Scholarship
- For a woman who has been enrolled (matriculated) in a college or other educational program for at least one year.
4. The Career Advancement Scholarship
- Awarded to a woman aged 30 or older who is continuing or returning to higher education or vocational training, either full-time or part-time.
5. The BPW/University of Maine at Augusta Scholarship
- Intended for a single female parent enrolled at UMA. No separate application is required; the UMA scholarship committee selects the recipient.
