Clay Electric Youth Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by Clay Electric Cooperative, Inc.
Clay Electric's youth scholarship program is financed by unclaimed funds that would typically be surrendered to the state. However, a bylaw amendment in 2003 permits Clay Electric to retain these funds in an educational trust to support the scholarship initiative.
This yearly scholarship scheme is open to any high school senior from public, private, or home-school backgrounds, whose primary residence is within the Clay Electric service area and who will be graduating at the end of the relevant school year.
Selections are made based on the applicant's involvement in the community, academic performance, and extra-curricular activities.
To ensure a fair distribution of scholarship winners across the Clay Electric service region, only one student from each public school and one from the private/home school category can be awarded a scholarship. Not every school will have a scholarship recipient. For any queries, please reach out to your local district office.
