MacDonald Memorial Scholarship 5 important things to know about Foundation scholarships 1) Single application for most awards A single application covers numerous scholarships. A few school-specific scholarships are separate — check with your school counselor or contact the Foundation for details. Remember to have your cumulative transcript (high school or college) ready. 2) You don’t have to be a “perfect” student Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements and evaluation criteria. GPA is considered for many awards but is not the only factor. 3) Financial need isn’t always required Some scholarships factor in financial need, but many do not. 4) Scholarships are available for many educational paths We support a wide range of recipients, including vocational and nontraditional students, undergraduate and graduate students, high school seniors, and students pursuing athletics or the arts. 5) Fair, volunteer-driven review process Local volunteers from diverse backgrounds evaluate applications. Decisions are based on the documented qualifications and how well applicants meet each scholarship’s stated requirements.
